I am an 78 year old, Retired Certified Master Chef from Iceland, living in south of Spain.Trying to do as little as I can. Was in the food business for 54 years, but mostly as an employe. Prentice in cooking for 4 years, Cook for 4 years, head-chef for 1 year, Became Certified Masterchef. Food & Beverage manager for 11 years. Published a Gourmet Magazine in Iceland for 8 years named Gestgjafinn (The Host), had my own culinary school, for ordinary people for 3 years. Then as a Corporate Chef for Icelandic Seafood USA, for 22 years in USA, there of lived in Virginia for 12 years. Retired Jan 2012. Was the official chef of president of Iceland, Mrs. Vigdís Finnbogadóttir for 12 years. Was a traveling chef for the Icelandic Tourist and Export Board for 20 years.Vice President of WACS worldchefs.org 2008 to 2013. One of the founders of the Icelandic Chefsassociation in 1972. Was a member of a vine tasting club for 20 years. I am approved international WACS food judge. Also: I can do seafood seminars: How to fish and process fish, how to store fish, quality of seafood, how to cut, how to cook and so one. Did this for 22 years as a full time job and traveled to all states in USA, except Alaska. Have traveled to 54 countries. Might sound funny but, last year I found this great lady on the web and now she is living with me here in Orihuela.
