I am a very old man and my professional bio starts April 1. 1946 in Austria when I entered the three year apprenticeship program. Since then I have worked in many countries in many positions and eventually as Executive Chef at The Waldorf - Astoria Hotel from 1969 - 1979 while the hotel was still the unofficial palace of New York and housed the elite of the world. I opened as Director of Food and Beverage at the Harley Hotel and moved on in the same position at the venerable The Plaza Hotel. I am a Trustee Emeritus of the Culinary Institute of America, took a culinary team in 1984 to the Intahoga, lectured on cruise lines and as adjunct at NYU. In 1976 Latzi Wittenberg and I started the ACF Bid Apple Chapter. I am spending my time travelling and editing the books I have written.
